UroSketch 3D Explore app for iPhone and iPad

UroSketch 3D Explore provides an interactive 3D model of the prostate, bladder and surrounding organs for use by patients as an introduction to Prostate Cancer, specifically. Preset 3D model views show cross sections and different tumor stages which currently focus on the prostate. There is a focus on features that are relevant during discussion of prostatectomy, such as the prostatic nerves and the urogenital sphincter. In each view, the patient is able to view labels and short descriptions of different anatomical features. The patient is also able to created editable 2-dimensional sketches to save for later, or to bring into a consultation with their physician. Sessions are listed on the home screen for the patient to access later. They can also be shared by email or printed. Our goal with this app is to introduce the basics of the anatomy involved in the discussion of Prostate Cancer in a way that is more engaging than a static visual or video.
